winter walk

a grey winter day,

with an occasional dusting of snowflakes,

ice chunks encroach on the path,

the river continues its music under

the frozen surface.

four paws crunch delicately

on the snow

in contrast to the clomping

of my heavy boots.

it being uncomfortably cold, my ventures out

are local, and the destination usually a warm

place,

the new café.

delicious treats, lemon cheesecake

and a

chocolate cupcake,

good hospitality and

an excellent cappuccino.

must return soon.

change

i put christmas away,

rearranged and changed

things around.

there is more light,

and i am

looking forward to

more wintertime

festivities.

mjölk a new shop

a new shop has opened in my favourite

neighbourhood. mjölk features excellent design

examples not limited to scandinavian designers

but includes japanese designers as well.
