getting together

everyone is so busy,

it is special to get together

with a dear friend for a glass of wine or two,

good food and treats, (the extreme green macaron was

delicious).

best of all is the laughter,

the way only one can laugh with a friend.

located across from my second favourite café.

simple yet warm decor, comfortable and sunny

with a tempting display on the dresser,

promising menu.

my choice was the pear tart and an americano.

very good!

this may be my new second favourite café.

despite the fatigued leaves,

the pond was

so still on this

that it was surprisingly

living well in november,

we went out for lunch at a newish tiny café,

only pizza and sandwiches on the menu.

the proprietors have a sense of humour.

music, whirling fans, warm colours and limited seating.

i had a satisfying hot vegetable sandwich,

followed by a neighbourhood walk.

simple

when feeling rather delicate,

a simple yet perfect egg is the cure.

food is definitely a theme this week,

exercise should be the next activity.

the pond in november,

it looks like he worked up a thirst

and left a plastic cup behind.

christmas craft sale

it is that time of year,

the annual church christmas craft sale,

i haven't been to one for

a number of years.

no disappointment here,

a lot of pottery, christmas crafts, jewelry, decorations,

knitted hats and scarves, baked goodies and more.

at home it was nice to have a cup of hot cocoa

and sample these most excellent biscuits.

handyman down

i posted this building before, it sits

across from my second favourite café.

when the building sold, i had hoped for

the best.

the handyman shop is demolished.

disappointed, but not surprised...

hotel tea

hotel tea, the occasion a belated joint birthday

celebration,

we exchanged gifts and ate, drank and ate

or rather

sipped and nibbled well into the late afternoon.
