they are everywhere

and so many,

with bells.

keeping parsley fresh

parsley is always on hand in

my kitchen.

having tried different

storage methods

this is the best one

(almost too good).

rinse the bunch of parsley,

trim off the

ends and plunge

into a jar of fresh water,

top with a plastic bag

and place on the fridge

door (works best for me).

change the water frequently

and you will have fresh

parsley for days, weeks...

this bunch is still green

after a week and a half.

earth hour letdown

miss m and i went out

for a state of the earth hour walk.

we met families with young

children carrying candle lanterns.

what did we see?

houses with

lights blazing

and flat screen televisions

flashing bright images,

apartment buildings

fully illuminated.

i wonder if

the children felt disappointed

as i was?
