quesadillas and condominiums

not long ago
on a sunny day
we had lunch
at a quesadilla café,
they grind the corn
for their tortilla
and
they were
delicious.
the view will soon
be obstructed
by a condominium
and in the
neighbourhood
many more
are being constructed.

rain,
cool damp
air,
the smell
of
fallen leaves.
november's
cold
winds
whistle
through
the
undressed trees.

cafe

sunny day
at the cafe,
change of place,
a large cappuccino,
time
to
organize thoughts
and make
plans.

reading

last weekend
i dashed out
to buy
this book
planning
for a long
reading session.
it was not
to be,
hopefully
this weekend
i'll settle in
to get through
the book.
so far the
story has
drawn me in.

pupusas

food adventures are plentiful

in this city.

i wanted to try el salvadoran

pupusas,

this small and busy place

not only had 

delicious pupusas served with

a cabbage slaw,

there were mexican 

favourites to sample

such as 

tacos and tamales

accompanied with

a vivid green beverage.
