slugs and hostas
so far, no holes in the hosta leaves,
the slug watch is on,
not that i ever see them,
and if i did,
what would i do?
crush them? no, i don't
think so.
transport them to the
neighbour's garden?
not an option.
watch the holes
appear...

the garden
things are out of control
in the tiny dark garden,
or
nature is in control
depending how one
looks at it.
intervention is required.

exuberant garden
this extraordinary garden is a delight to visit,
the owner rearranges the statues frequently.
next door however, the neighbour practiced
restraint with the toadstools as the sole
decorative element.

garden assessment
blue sky, syringa vulgaris at the end of its flowering,
the scent is still pleasantly intoxicating, my favourite
geranium maculatum in bloom, the matteuccia struthiopteris
is aggresively taking over the garden, canis familiaris enjoying
the sunny weather, white petunia hybrida is in desperate need
to be freed from the nursery tray, time to get to work
