dill pickles

every year i make dill pickles,

i use them in salads, sandwiches

and enjoy crunching into one

for a snack.

the next project,

bread and butter pickles.

vivid colour

i don't know what the current exterior paint

colour trends are elsewhere. around here,

especially in my neighbourhood, people are

choosing taupe for their exterior house colour.

businesses and stores are going taupe as well.

everyone prefers to disappear into taupeness.

it was refreshing to see this establishment

splash some vivid colours on their

walls.

checking out the beets and kale,

my attention

was drawn to the community

oven. inside pizzas were

baking. hmm, what would

it take to build an oven in

my tiny dark garden?
